The Omega Aqua Terra has experienced significant success since its launch in 2002 for its perfect combination of elegance and oceanic spirit. Featuring a classic contemporary design, the Aqua Terra became a famous luxury timepiece for everyday wear.

However, Omega introduced the Aqua Terra as a part of the Seamaster collection. The watch is water-resistant up to 150m. Since its inception, the brand has unleashed three main generations of the Aqua Terra.

Interestingly, the contemporary Aqua Terra models have water-resistance as well as antimagnetic abilities. They can combat magnetic fields to 15,000guass. The most popular editions of the Aqua Terra come with date and time functionality. However, the brand also unveiled other editions with added complications.

Let’s today explore the more complicated Omega Aqua Terra watches.

Omega Aqua Terra Chronograph

Omega released the Aqua Terra Chronograph in 2009 in four initial editions with 42mm steel cases.

  • The dial was available in two options – white or black.
  • The brand also offered two bracelet choices for the Aqua Terra Chronograph – a leather strap or a steel bracelet.
  • Moreover, the Omega Aqua Terra Chronograph features a screw-down crown and is water-resistant to 150m.
  • The black dial flaunted stainless steel applied and raised hour markers.
  • On the other hand, the white dial version featured blue hour markers and hands.

However, Omega equipped both the hour markers and hands with bright Super-LumiNova.

The Aqua Terra Chronograph houses the Calibre 3301 self-winding movement.

It features a rhodium-finished, column-wheel mechanism, offering power reserve up to 52hours.

Omega upgraded the collection and introduced the Aqua Terra Co-Axial Chronograph in 2013.

This watch was powered by the in-house Calibre 3313 self-winding movement. It features a column-wheel mechanism, free-sprung balance and Co-Axial escapement.

Omega Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT

The Omega Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT comes with similar features as the others in the collection. But it is essentially different.

  • The watch features a 43mm case and the signature teak motif dial.
  • But the dial has only two sub-dials – a combined 60minutes and 12-hour aperture at 3 o’clock and a seconds-register with a GMT hand at 9 o’clock.
  • However, the Aqua Terra Chronograph houses Calibre 9605 Co-Axial movement.

The brand introduced the watch in different metal and colour variations – white or black dial, Rose gold or stainless steel and leather band or steel bracelet.

Thanks to the added technicalities of GMT and chronograph complications and versatile aesthetics of Aqua Terra, this Omega Aqua Terra Chronograph GMT became famous among enthusiasts of the brand.

Omega Aqua Terra Worldtimer

Omega introduced the Aqua Terra Worldtimer 150M limited edition in 2017, in limited numbers of 87. It featured a 43mm case made of platinum. After two years, the brand unveiled the Aqua Terra Worldtimer in Sedna gold or steel.

However, the watch shows the time of 24 time-zones at the same time.

The Calibre 8938 Co-Axial movement powers the watch, and it is visible through the transparent case-back.
